For over 6 years, Negrito has been constantly evolving in French rap! Negrito has gone from being a revelation from 77 to an established rapper at the top of the rap game. Let us present to you in images the result of this Negrito x PXP collaboration.

Negrito, the revelation made in 77

After our collaborations with Ninho, Uzi, RK, or even Timal, you've understood: something is happening between the rappers from 77 and Project X Paris! We don't know if it's a coincidence, or a particular feeling, but we've started to collaborate with almost all the rappers from the area! Negrito is a young prodigy in his discipline, straight from Dammarie-les-Lys, and it's been six years now since the artist started posting tracks "regularly" on the Internet, notably via the talent-scouting YouTube channel, Daymolition. But it was four years ago that a much wider audience discovered him, thanks to the success of street bangers like "La Purge IV" and "Mbappé", among others.

The art of staging

Negrito is above all a great fan of streetwear, a passionate individual who loves the art of staging. We can see it in his music videos, and it's no coincidence that he became known with his freestyle series "La Purge": the rapper is absolutely a movie buff. He even goes as far as introducing certain shots referencing films in his videos! With a streetwear style and a real eye for image and video, Negrito is a worthy representative of the urban culture from 77.. Welcome to the PXP team!

A dark, striking style, and a significant evolution

What we also love at Project X Paris are versatile artists who know how to reinvent themselves, and Negrito knows how to do that well! He started his music career with trap tracks, before embracing drill and producing songs like "Mbappe", his featuring with Freeze Corleone, "La Purge V", or even "Puh puh" with Dosseh. But that doesn't stop him from occasionally delivering more melody-focused tracks, with sung choruses, as he did on his latest album, "Débrouillard", released in January 2024. He's not afraid to step off the beaten path, as he did with his legendary "Freestyle Macarena" on Skyrock, in which he raps over the instrumental of Los del Rio's famous 90s hit. His latest project also includes some real hits: tracks like "Moment" totally fit into current playlists and have been well-received on radio. In short, only good things are on the horizon for the rest of his career!

Negrito in PXP

As we mentioned earlier, Negrito has a real sense of image, and for this photoshoot, it was really easy to work with him. We wanted to propose something bright and sunny, and it matched immediately. A beautiful green background, a few paintings, pieces from our California Vibes capsule, and voilà. It must be said that the first ensemble, with the palm print shirt and shorts, is incredibly effective, with this contrast of white and green. All of this stylishly worn by our rapper, with a pair of white sneakers on his feet. For the second outfit, a hoodie also from our best-selling "California Vibes" capsule, in white/cream with the green logo and palm print on the back, and multi-pocket cargo pants from the same capsule. A really stylish outfit perfect for summer evenings!

Style even at the bottom of the block

For the second set, we head to the bottom of the tower where Negrito grew up, as he hasn't forgotten where he comes from and proudly wears the colors of his block. For a stylish outfit in the neighborhood, nothing beats a unique piece for a standout style. This piece is the Urban Explorer shirt... All of this, worn with white cargo pants, just a watch and a chain bracelet, under a beautiful blue sky. A clearly winning combo, both stylish and very street.

The bling-bling California touch

We obviously saved the best part of the photoshoot for last. Our stylists and designers had a blast for this last part, with ideas flying in all directions and especially the desire to involve many people in this moment. For Negrito, we stick to a California Vibes outfit, alternating between the all-over palm print polo, and the palm print hoodie, definitely a streetwear banger! For the bottom, a cargo and a pair of Jordans will do the trick.. But it's especially the impressive American Pick-Up that catches the eye: a huge orange and black Dodge Ram, very eye-catching. Just like the unisex ESSENTIALS Project X Paris hoodie, worn by all the other participants, to better match the color of the motorized monster. A real pleasure to end a photoshoot with this kind of craziness, and it also visibly pleased Negrito a lot, to whom we wish good luck for the future, hoping to see him again soon in front of our lenses.
